Facebook Groups
There are heaps of online Facebook groups that help you connect with potential housemates. Just be careful to practice cyber safety. Search in your town/area in Facebook search directly.
Noticeboards
Community and university notice boards are good places to look – especially if you are looking for share accommodation.
Real estate agents
If you know the area you would like to live in, check Google or the Yellow Pages for real estate agents in that area. Contact the agents by phone and introduce yourself. If you represent yourself well (be polite and be clear about what you want) a real estate agent may choose to help you out and let you know if something suitable comes up.

VIC – Through Home Stretch you can stay with your kinship or foster carer until you turn 21 years of age. Your carer would need to agree but your carer can get an allowance to help support you.
If you are moving from care to independent living, you can also get an allowance to help you with housing costs like rent and bills. This payment will go to an agency who will work with you to support your living arrangements.
Through Home Stretch you will be eligible for a Better Futures case worker support, information and advice and flexible funding. Find out more here.
