Technical And Further Education (TAFE) is an affordable, accessible and clear pathway into the workforce or even uni.

TAFE colleges are located in all states and territories. TAFE’s have a huge range of education and training
programs such as arts, engineering, tourism, business, fashion design and youth work. You can get certificate level qualifications, diplomas and advanced diplomas. Many TAFE’s have scholarships. Ask your
caseworker or support person to help you find out about these. You won’t know if you don’t ask!

Help with TAFE for young people with a care experience

Now in Victoria, if you are in care, or have been in care and are under 24 you may be eligible for The Skills First Youth Access Initiative where you can study VCAL/VCE through to Advanced Diploma level courses and pay no tuition fees.
